These are pictures of some the bikes we've sold and our customers. If you do not see yourself in here and would like to please let us know!
On July 17th, we hosted our 8th Annual Crazy Horse Memorial Benefit Run. Even though it was predicted to be in the 90's, and humid, we still had a pretty good turn out. We want to thank everyone that came out and enjoyed the day with us, and those who participated in the "Weenie Bite", "Balloon Toss" and "Slow Race" Competitions. If you see yourself in one of the pictures, and would like a copy emailed to you, just let us know!
Below are letters that have been sent to us by some of our customers. As you can tell by the letters, we deal with all makes and models of motorcycles, as well as all types of customers. Opinions expressed are the opinions of the customer writing the letters.
Jerry B from Toledo Ohio says :"While I've ridden bikes for years, I've either had to borrow them from friends, or rent them. Well, I finally "bit the bullet" and bought a motorcycle of my own. I had always thought that my first bike would be a Harley Road King. Up until this summer, it was my favorite bike. That was until I started researching the Indians. I went to the internet and found some classic Indians on EBay. I'm a vintage type of guy, and the Indian Chief was perfect. Not knowing all I needed to know about buying a motorcycle, I looked for a local dealer and was refered(by multiple people) to the Indian dealer in Weston, Ohio. Mike Schwartz was very willing to educate me on what I should look for in an Indian. He and his wife Lorie were extremely patient with me in that I would call them multiple times each week to review Chiefs that I found on ebay that I had an interest in. They would look at the bike and then give me thier recommendation along with the upgrades they felt would be needed. After a few months of research I bought an Indian Chief Roadmaster and had it shipped to Mike and Lorie in Weston. The bike arrived, they made the upgrades, and I haven't been off the motorcycle since. Two months and 3,000 miles later, my Chief runs perfectly. All I've had to do is put gas in the tank. My experience was such a good one that I bought a second Chief. I'm looking forward to next Fall when the new Chiefs are due to be released, and I sincerely hope Mike and Lorie at Indian Weston witll be an official Indian dealer. They are Indian experts, are extremely customer service-oriented, and are good people."
Mark D from Troy Ohio says: " Thanks to Mike and Lorie for the good job on Saturday. The Chief runs better now than it has for a long time. The mixture at idle is better and the idle speed is better as well. It runs like a *bleeped* ape! Your new place is great! Now I hope the new Indian company will take advantage of your experience with Indian and the motorcycle business in general. They WILL need you guys!"
Norm C from Huntertown Indiana says: "Hello Mike and Lorie! Just a note to let you kow that I installed the new hwy bars on the Vintage and they look great! Also a note to Mike: I appreciate your help answering some of my questions. I know some of them might sound a little stupid to you, but when I bought the bike, the previous ownder didn't know anything except how to ride it. He had the dealer in *bleeped* do all the mechanical stuff on it. Also, there was no owners manual. Its good to talk to someone like yourself who is very savy about my bike. Just wanted to let you know that I value your knowhow."
Gail S of Waynesville Ohio says: " I just wanted to let you know what wonderful service I received from Lorie of Indian Motorcycle Weston. I own 3 Indians, a 2003 Vintage Chief, a 2003 Spirit, and a 2003 Scout. As you can imagine, it's been very difficult trying to find a dealer who still services or has parts for the Indians. I stumbled upon Indian of Weston this morning and I am happy! They are more than willing to take care of my every need for my Indians. They explained that they are passionate about the Indian Motorcycles, as am I. The 2003 Chief had a broken speedometer when I bought it. After I had it for a few weeks, I called the dealer we purchased it from and they happened to have a new speedometer...I gave them my credit card info and they said they would ship it to me the next day. They took my money and I've never received the new speedometer. I've been trying to find a new speedometer for some time because we are taking the bikes Jackson Hole this summer. Finally, I found a dealership that was willing to help me! They were the first people willing to help me out. Lorie's willingness to help me, and save me money has assured her of my future business. Plus, I love the idea of giving someone my business who is truly passionate about Indians."
Less H of Waterford MI says: " I knew of a lot of repair shops in my area...but held out to take my Indian to Weston because I know Mike knows the machines, and I am very happy I did! I wish them sucess in getting a new dealership!"
Tom and Kelly S of Tontogany, Ohio say: " Thank you so much for picking up our sons bike from the accident sight and taking it to your shop! It was an extremely thoughtful jesture and much appreciated!"
Chuck and Donna S of Fremont, Ohio says: " I am an Indian rider, and I purchased my new 2000 Chief from Lorie and Mike at the Weston, Ohio dealership. I have always had great service from this dealership. They work with you one on one and treat you like a person and not just a number. They have always been there when I have had problems with the bike and have bent over backwards to help. Before Indian's shutdown, a new dealership was built in Toledo, Ohio. I went there to check it out and I have to say I would not go back again. It was very nice and new but somewhat impersonal and they didn't have that one on one feeling that you get with Indian Weston. It is a farther drive for me to go to Weston for my service but well worth the extra drive. When Indian shutdown, the Toledo store was one of the first to abandon ship. Weston, on the other hand, has supported and stood by Indian and their product the whole time and continues to do so. I hope that Indian retains Lorie and Mike as an Indian dealer in Northwest Ohio. They have faithfully stood behind the Indian name."
Jaime A of Willard, Ohio says: " I would like you to know that the staff and facility at Indian Motorcycle of Weston is fantastic! From the moment I brought my Spirit in everyone made me feel like family. Knowing that they are available assured me that I made the right choice going with Indian. Indian Motorcycle of Weston is a shining example of a professional, courteois, and knowledgeable dealership. I have and will continue to refer them to all the riders I know. Thanks again for the great work! "
Tony and Cathy G of Lindsay Ohio say: " Thanks for helping us find the parts that we needed. Lorie and Mike are always helpful with any problems or questions we have. We can hardly wait to see the new bikes with they come out. Keep up the good work and we will be back to visit you soon."
Keith S of Westerville Ohio says: " As you know I used to take my bike all over the country when I had my trucks. As we have discussed in the past, you know I have been in several of the other Indian dealerships. I have told you several times that I thought you were the best dealer I have ever dealt with(must be why I keep sending you new customers). Well I think its kinda funny I still sent customers to look at Indians even though the company was in the state that it was. I love my Scout even with the problems I have had. I have always been comfortable because I know if I ever have a problem all I have to do is call and you will get it in the shop as soon as possilbe and it will be repaired right the first time. In my opinion the new owners of Indian would be foolish if they do not consider you guys. Being a former business owner myslef I know it is very important to move product! But sometimes it takes more than that to be the best! I could go on for a very long time about all the times you have helped me and alot of other people I have sent your way. No matter what the new company decides, you will always have my business and I will keep promoting yours!"
Mike P writes to the new owners of Indian: " I am happy to receive news that your organization has purchased the Indian Motorcycle brand with the intention of resuming production. I sold my 2000 Indian Chief when news of the collapse of the former entity reached me. I did not want to own an orphan bike. I loved the idea of an alternative to Harley Davidson with similar long standing tradition behind it. I own several motorcycles and they are all of current manufacture. I don't relish the idea of maintaining an old bike, so a "modern classic" is very desireable to me. I also feel I must mention a dealer that has served my needs admirable and continues to service and maintain the bikes sold under the previous entity. That dealer is Indian Motorcycle of Weston Ohio. Their dealership maintains the atmosphere of an Indian Motorcycle "shop" as opposed to the Harley Davidson Mega Mall Motorcycle "store". Lorie and Mike have been wonderful to deal with and they continue to provide support for my friends that still own Indians."
Jim(Jimbo) and Bob(Pops) L of Delta Ohio say: " My father and I would like to send a letter of Thanks for everything you have done for us in the past years since we bought our three Indians from you. Thanks for all the times you have went out of your way to get our bikes back on the road when we either had problems, or when we just wanted more upgrades. I don't think we would have the three Indians we have now if it wasnt for you. My father and I were both took in from the first time we entered your store because of how friendly of an environment we walked into. We also want to send our thanks to you on how we were made to feel like family on all of the trips we have taken with the Indian family of Weston. We are sure hoping you stay around for years to come so we have a place to get our bikes serviced, fixed, and just when we need some extras added. I couldnt even think of taking my bike to anyone else. It just wouldnt be the same!"
Jeff S of Lima Ohio says: "Thanks for all of your help and information with my Indian and Indians in general. You guys have some quality parts and accessories. By far the most knowledgable and helpful folks I've talked to!"
Darren and Karla W of Raymond, Ohio say: " We would like to send a big thank you for your tremendous help over the years since we purchased our 2002 Indian Scout from you guys. As you know, we live many miles away so when we have minor issues with our bike, you have always tried to help us trouble shoot the little stuff before we bring our bike in. Darren is very particular about who he allows to look at his bike and you guys are the only ones that he trusts. Since our original visit to purchase our bike back in 2002, we have praised your business and your knowledge on the bikes and also how you welcome your new customers into your shop like you have known them all of your life. The friendly atmosphere you create only highlights the quality of service you give to all that walk through your doors. When Indian shut down, you guys continued to service our bike and have kept us up to date on the status of Indian and have remained loyal to the name. We thank you so much for this. As you know, my brother, who purchased his Indian in Florida travels a lot of miles to have you guys service his bike. We recommended you to him and he has been nothing but satisfied with his service. We are all encouraged and hopeful that you will get the Indian dealership, as you will be a tremendous asset to Indian Motorcycle and their ultimate comeback."
Jeff and Sylvia of Pennsylvania say: " Thank you SO much for going out of your way to pick us up and work on our bike. What a day! We had no idea how to get back to PA! We loved your place. Jeff said he felt like a kid in a candy store. Wish we had more time to shop. We rode till 10, got up at 5 and met our friends by 7:30 and headed for home. Again, Thanks for coming to our rescue!"
Bill P of Columbus Ohio writes to the new owners of Indian: "Recently, I had extensive service to my trike at Indian Motorcycle of Weston, Ohio. I understand they are under consideration to be on of your new dealers. I have owned a number of bikes over the past 30 years and have never found better service than at Weston. All three people I dealt with were competent, courteous and kind. This is the best service I have ever had out of dozens used."
Gary H of Delaware Ohio says: " I thought I would write you an e-mail and say thanks for the great service Monday. When I bring the bike up and wait on it, it is nice to have a comfortable place to sit and read or talk. It is also nice that Mike does not mind me watching what he is doing. I have picked up some good tips doing this. Most places don't want you around when they are doing service. Thanks again!"
William H of Richland, MI writes to the new owners of Indian: " I am the proud ownder of a 2003 Indian Scout. I would like to let you know that I searched the country to find a trusted Indian Dealer who would assist me with the maintenance and parts for my Indian motorcycle. It took me many months to find such a dealer, and it is the Indian Motorcycle of Weston Ohio. There are several dealers in Michigan where I live but none were able to give me the quality support I desired over the years of ownership of this fine motorcycle. I felt that it was important to send this email to you and hopefully you can use this information to assist you with the selection for the best Indian dealerships available."
Dennis B of Saline, MI writes to the new owners of Indian: " I have read the latest newsletters and am truly excited about the progress of Indian Motorcycle. I would like to recommend to you Indian Motorcycle of Weston, Ohio. I have no personal connection with Mike and Lorie, husband and wife, and owners of this dealership. I live in Michigan, but travel to Ohio for service as I have found their workmanship outstanding and the facilities second to none. They truely love Indian Motorcycle which is obvious when you visit their showroom. I cannot overstate my recommendation of this business."
Al H of Haskins, Ohio writes to the new owners of Indian: " I'm writing this on behalf of Lorie and Mike Schwartz, the owners of Indian Motorcycle of Weston. I understand that you are in the process of selecting dealerships for the re-start of Indian Motorcycle, and I would like to suggest Lorie and Mike. When IMC closed in September of 2003, the scoured the country looking for Indian Motorcycles to sell and Mike traveled several states away to pick up bikes other dealerships were trying to unload, in order to keep stock on the showroom floor of a much demanded bike in this area. They have always been loyal to Indian and never changed their name. The dealership in Toledo/Rossford changed his shops' name the day after the plant closed! Lorie and Mike have always treated us like family and it really made me glad that I bought my 2000 Chief from them, especially after all of the horror stories I'd heard from other ownders that had purchased their bikes elsewhere and came to Weston for service. "
Robert C of Ohio writes to the new owners of Indian: " It has come to my attention that you are the "Lord and Master" of who will become a new Indian Dealer. I would like to cast a vote for and Indian Dealership in my area. The Weston, Ohio dealership is an important part of our rural part of the country. Mike and Lorie have been there for bikers around here when nobody else was. They have been very involved in local charities and bike runs that ultimately promote good will by Indian. What is the best way to get new business? By word of mouth, at least in my opinion. The bikers that visit and do business with local dealerships can either make or break them. Public opinion is everything! Thank you for taking the time to read and consider this plea for our local dealer."
Brian O of Berlin Heights Ohio writes to the new owners of Indian: " Last spring, I purchased a used 2002 Chief with 6,455 miles on it. In the fall, I joined the All American Indian Motorcycle Club and attended their annual meet in Wellington, Ohio. During the course of the meet, a couple of the members noticed that my bike did not have the oil pump modified for the problem that many of the 2002 owners encountered. More than one of these members recommended that I take it the the dealership in Weston, Ohio. Even though they lived many hundreds of miles away from this dealership, they still take thier bikes there for service and storage. So, I followed their advice and took my baby to Weston. I left it there with instructions for the oil pump upgrade and a good look over. Shortly after, I got the bad news from Mike, the owner. The pump should have been modified a couple thousand miles ago, and the engine would have to be rebuilt. Now, other than changing fluids, I dont know much about the mechanics of motorcycles and I'm sure that Mike figured this out rather quickly. None the less, he was very patient and explained things in a manner that I could understand. If that wasnt good enough, he went to the trouble to take photos so I could visualize what he was talking about. In addition to the problem with the engine, he pointed out a problem with my clutch and various other minor details. When I picked my bike up, he personally showed me everything that was done. He saved the parts that were replaced for me to see. They had treated my bike as if it were their own, right down to tiddying up the cables with ties and presenting it to me in spotless condition. I trust these people. They treated my like I was their best customer and it was very obvious that they absolutely love Indian Motorcycles. If you are looking for a dealer in the northwast Ohio area, you should really consider Indian of Weston. If you check out the customer section on their website, you'll see a whole hell of a lot of happy customers just like me."
Mike C of Royalton, Illinois says: "I just wanted to thank you and your wife again for taking me in after closing and putting the tire and brakes on my old Road King. You were right about the Continental. I stuck to the road like glue and I made it to my destination safely. Thanks for your attention to detail looking for the little things that can cause a guy a problem on the road. Your hospitality was outstanding and I will damn sure pass your name and the location of your shop to all of my riding amigos. Thanks agian, and if you are ever in Southern Illinois, you are welcome at my fire."
